Breathe
The exchange of atmosphere occurs all around us. On a mechanical level, on a particle level, on a conceptual level we share this act which we intrinsically tie to life.
Meaning
Contrived, coincidental, or cosmic, life seeks understanding. From the minute of our birth to the placement of stars within the universe, fact desires function. Meaning.
Recognition
Sensory input is necessarily singular. One person’s interaction with a stimulus starts a neurological chain reaction which becomes a feeling, sound, taste, smell. But despite this, we seek mimicry and similarity all around us. Pressing our communication limits to show one another that we recognize the feeling, the longing, the experience.
Created as the visual conclusion to my Master’s thesis, these diptychs balance the natural within a personal and global scale. The intention is to draw reflection on the detail and mastery of creation on a micro and macro level.
